    Let us help you get there. In this event you will learn to:

    • Develop knowledge of anatomy and characteristics of veins appropriate for peripheral IV access
    • Locate and identify veins of the upper extremities appropriate for peripheral IV access
    • Discuss Infusate characteristics and considerations
    • Identify complications associated with peripheral IV access and explain common interventions
    • Chart and properly document the peripheral IV access, maintenance and discontinuation
    • Tips and Tricks of peripheral IV insertion
    • Observe and then practice the skill of safe and effective insertion of peripheral IV catheters, first on equipment and then on classmates
    • Discuss management of peripheral IV sites and discontinuation of peripheral IV sites

Lindsey Aronson, RN

Lindsey is a registered nurse with over 18 years of experience. She has held positions in the ICU, neurology, PCU, orthopedic departments as well as outpatient surgery centers on both east and west coasts. She was a charge nurse and preceptor roles as well as primarily serving in the direct patient care role, and has spent last four years at Temecula Center for Integrative Medicine in Southern California in the Infusion Nurse role. Her scope of work included mixing and administering nutritional IV therapy and administering IV ozone including UBI, MAH and HDUBI.
