The past few months have been a wild ride for me and I've been doing A LOT of work and different therapies to get rid of an active Lyme infection (and Babesia!) as quickly as possible. I used everything in my biohacker toolkit... 5 different antibiotics, anti-parasites, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, infrared saunas, glutathione IV's, and even some ozone insufflation, but I hadn't tried intravenous ozone therapy. Until I found Dr. Howard Robins (whom I have now dubbed My Ozone Guru). Check out my videos below to see how it worked!
Ozone, or O3, is the molecular structure of three oxygen molecules attached together. Do you know that fresh, clean smell after a thunderstorm? That’s ozone being pulled from the earth’s atmosphere by lightening. The smell is unmistakable, but also extremely toxic when you breathe large amounts into your lungs.
But it’s that third oxygen molecule that makes ozone so effective. Up until now, you’ve probably heard somewhere that free radicals are bad for you. Well, not always. In some instances, free radicals are actually highly beneficial and ozone is one of them. That third molecule creates something called lipoperoxides, which have a ton of different benefits for your health. It kills all bacteria, parasites, mold, protozoa, and yeast - even antibiotic resistant bacteria. It increases brain function, energy, heals wounds fasters. Hair, skin, and nails grow faster and stronger. Skin takes on a healthier appearance. Teeth and gums get stronger and healthier. Inflammation dramatically decreases.
Ok, so what’s the downside then, you might be wondering? Well, ozone doesn’t differentiate between GOOD bacteria and bad bacteria - meaning that depending on how it enters the body (more on that below), you will need a very strong dose of probiotics to consistently rebalance your microbiome.
Ozone isn’t new though. It’s been widely studied for more than a hundred years, generators were previously patented by Nicholas Tesla, and even widely used by Germany as a cost-effective way to help soldiers recover post WW2. So, why have you never heard of it then?
Well it comes down to patents. Since ozone is a naturally occurring molecule, you cannot patent it under US patent law. Therefore, no companies stand to make profit or have the capital to lobby the FDA for treatment approval. I firmly believe that if ozone were patentable, it would be in every hospital and doctor’s office in the country. But, until then…
The Health Benefits of Ozone
Ozone gently stresses your mitochondria to help them become more efficient at producing energy. It’s like your mitochondria getting a great workout in!
Brain Function Enhances
Ozone can also pass through the blood-brain barrier, increasing blood flow to your brain and helping the mitochondria in your brain to function more optimally.
When ozone enters your body it helps your body to produce antioxidants, particularly glutathione and superoxide dismutase. It might seem strange, since free radicals usually cause inflammation, but ozone is the exact opposite.
Wounds Heal Faster
Ozone triggers an increase in your own stem cell production and attracts them to the site, helping wounds to heal much faster.
Kills All Mold, Bacteria, Viruses, Microbes, Parasites, Protozoa and Yeast
Ozone can be used to sterilize drinking water, as well as treat antibiotic resistant infections. It essentially helps your own immune system to enter the cell wall of these organisms, so that your body can do what it was designed to do.
Strengthens Skin, Hair, Nails, Teeth, and Gums
The combination of ozone’s antibacterial properties and it’s anti-inflammatory properties help your body to just function… better!
